![]() ![]() There is ample seating with 110 and USB outlets available. It is the typical Hampton hot breakfast with oatmeal and cold cereals, waffles, scrambled eggs, juices, pastries, yogurt, bananas and fresh fruit. The breakfast area is well designed and facilitates easy movement. I did not learn the name of our housekeeper but she was accommodating and friendly as was the breakfast attendant. We had a nice conversation about the hotel opening and Hilton training I retired from the travel industry and am interested in hotel operations. Yvonne, the Assistant General Manager, is a real asset to the hotel: motivated, friendly, and knowledgeable about all departments of the property. The staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly. Snacks and sundries are available for purchase in the lobby pantry. The lobby/breakfast area also is bright and spacious with comfortable, upholstered seating. We took advantage of the lobby coffee service and USA Today provided during the week. Pullout drawers on either side of the sink provide extra storage space. Towels are thirsty and fresh and stored on a shelf above the sink. There is one vertical grab bar in the tub but no shelf for shower toiletries. The bathroom features a bright automatic LED night light that turns on when the light switch is turned off. There are numerous 110 and USB outlets in the room not only at the bedside but also on the wall unit. The refrigerator worked perfectly but there is no separate freezer area. It would make more sense to switch shelves for the coffee service and microwave. Even then, reading the directions on the oven was difficult. We are fit seniors but my husband and I had to get down on our hands and knees with a pillow to support us to operate the microwave. We were surprised to find the microwave on the bottom shelf of the wall unit. I’m not a fan of dust catching draperies.Ī refrigerator and microwave are key room features for us. I especially appreciated the pull-down day and night window shades. Lighting in the room also is bright enough to read by. LED wall sconces and ceiling lights provide a very safe environment. This property has the brightest hallway lighting I have ever seen. The décor is a soothing gray the wallpaper in the bathroom also is a gray pattern. We had a non-adjoining room on the top (3rd floor) of the hotel which opened in May. Jersey also provided an orientation to the town and directions to specific places we were interested in seeing. We have specific room preferences in our profile each of them was met. I booked online and was welcomed at registration by Jersey who thanked and recognized us for our HHonors membership. Since we stay primarily at Hampton Inn properties, we were happy to find this new hotel on our search for lodging. We were in town for the RevRun Half Marathon to benefit the Camden Revolutionary War Site. We highly recommend this Hampton Inn if you're traveling through the area. We got a big kick out of this, and it was a nice touch added to a great stay. When we returned that afternoon, the housekeeper created an arrangement will all of them, which was waiting on the pull-out bed. She left some stuffed animals, a tablet and a set of kid's headphones behind while we were at the festival. The one great thing we wanted to share was something the housekeeper who made up the room on Saturday did for our granddaughter. ![]() The town is a lovely place, small but with a great main street and lots of interesting sights and places to eat. The festival was less that two miles from the hotel, straight down the road in Camden. The king bed was big and comfortable and the pull-out sofa was perfect for our granddaughter. The staff, however were always available and ready to take care of whatever we needed. ![]() We made our reservation and did both check in and check out on the Hilton Honors app, so we literally just walked in and went straight to our room (I used the apps digital key feature). This Hampton Inn is typical of the excellence we find in so many of their locations: great staff, super cleanliness, all the amenities one needs (breakfast, indoor pool, Wi-Fi). The location was perfect: very close to Camden, I-20 and other major roads. I can't say enough about this lovely hotel. We were in town to visit the annual Irish Fest Camden. My wife and my granddaughter joined me here for a weekend stay in early March.
